What People Are Saying

"It calms the chaotic & anxious mind." – Marissa

This is why we do what we do. Our members are the center of the Peaceful Painting Club’s universe and we adore them all!

There is too much fun and relaxation happening inside our creative space not to share. No win is too big or small in our compassionate, creative community. We celebrate them all!

Here you’ll hear from our club members and see some of their fun, soothing artwork.

“Taking Katie's classes has helped me tremendously with my confidence in opening up and taking chances. Being a part of a wonderful community has helped me a lot with not only my confidence but also my depression. Creating art and or working on writing helps me a lot. When I create by writing or making some kind of art I'm in my happy place. Feel very happy and free like I can conquer anything. ”

"There's no judgement"

It’s just about mindfulness, relaxation and feeling the paintbrush on the paper and just experiencing that. The skills that I’ve learned from Katie is just to experiment and have fun – Carla

"I joined the Peaceful Painting Club community and it has been a complete game changer for me."

From using art as meditation, introducing me to art supplies that I had never heard before or been intimidated by, trying new styles of art and how to bring a little practice of art into your life everyday - it has been incredible! – Lisa B.

"Kindness and openness"

I've participated in pretty much every program Katie offers, and I can't even pick a favorite because they all fill me up. The energy of the groups Katie creates is palpable, with a mutual respect among members that's really grounding. Katie sets the tone with her kindness and openness. Her programs encourage you to make your own guidelines, and thanks to her, I've started my own daily creative practice. You show up because it brings you joy, and Katie's programs allow you to do that. - Lynn H.

"Progress, Not Perfection"

The thing I love most about Katie's teaching style is that she focuses on process and progress over perfection, reminding us to adapt techniques so they feel good to us. I joined the Peaceful Painting Club because I love the creative communities Katie builds. My favorite class is the Wake Up and Watercolor—it’s such a fun way to start the day, and I always feel positive afterward. Katie's consistent reminders that perfection doesn't exist have made me more courageous in my artistic experimentation, and it's really opened up my creativity. - Julie R.

“I can already feel my perfectionism rearing its head less as I create. Totally worth every penny. One thing I love about Katie’s groups & classes are how doable and realistic they are for people who are busy or struggle to put aside a ton of time for something new (even if it might be beneficial!) I love the gentle nudges to make sure you’re staying engaged and keeping promises to yourself, the community time, the mindful art exercises - honestly I’m loving it all!
